A whole nest of mice decided to make a home in the fire pit next to the pool over the winter. FYI ... They don't know how to swim.
I fished this one out before he got sucked into the skimmer basket. When they go in there, it's time to get Jacob! I am thankful for his willingness to take care of this little chore.
Dead mouse removal.
Right next to Mickey Mouse is a little present from a local bird. My neighbors have 8 bird feeders in their yard and I am directly in the flight pattern from the nests to these feeders.
I have begged them to take some of the feeders down or move them, but they have no compassion.......... Nice.
I will be hanging string with ribbon on it across the pool - like I did last year - to re-direct as many birds as I can.
This was quite successful ....
Okay, so I'm going to reveal my nasty side.........
Mickey Mouse laid here - poolside - until after dark - then he "accidentally" got flung into my nasty neighbors yard - payback for the bird poop. I'm sure some critter got him, but I can hope that they found him first.
I have other issues with this same neighbor ......their dog is constantly pooping in my yard and going in my garage, ripping into garbage bags, and dragging trash all over. Nothing changes when I try talking to them about it........
So "sharing" Mickey Mouse with them just kinda soothed my frustrations.......
